The
Spirit Within
by John Ivall
John
takes us vividly and imaginatively through his early adventures
and travels during the 1950s in the British Mercantile Marine and
the British South African Police. A broken romance in Southern Rhodesia,
now Zimbabwe, brings him back to Britain and two years in the Royal
Marine Commandos, from which he is discharged disabled following
a terrorist attack in Cyprus. His adventures and restlessness then
take him into the International Tobacco Trade, Pub life and finally
Canada.
The
book is also a spiritual journey and you join him as he is lifted
from the depths of despair in his middle years onto his Path towards
wisdom and understanding.
